We'll be doing a live forging demonstration all day, making different small items. Stop by to learn a little about forging and support a great cause!

"The Old Gregg School Community and Recreation Center is hosting a Raise the Roof Community Fest for the whole family on Saturday, September 23rd to raise funds for a new roof. The event is in conjunction with the center’s 10th anniversary, celebrating ten years since opening as a community center in 2007.

The Community Fest will take place from the Old Gregg School along School Street to the Penns Valley YMCA. Games, food, vendors, and music will line the parking lots and street to provide entertainment for the whole family. A concert will be held in the evening with a line up of local artists for a $5 donation at the entry. All proceeds from the day’s festivities will go towards a much-needed new roof and other building improvements.

The following is a schedule of events for the day:

• 9:00am – 10th Anniversary Ceremony with special guest speakers and continental breakfast.
• 10:00am to 6:00pm – Community Fest featuring over 30 vendors, games, kids crafts, food, and music.
• 7:00pm – Raise the Roof Benefit Concert
