Glowing Metal
The block of metal that this hammer head began as is heated up repeatedly and slowly formed into the shape and style desired.

Rounded
After shaping is complete and the piece has cooled, the ends can be put to the grinder to remove smalls flaws and give it a shine.

Flat
This hammer has a round side and a flat side for different uses in the shop.

Final Product
When the metalworking is complete, a wooden handle is shaped and the head is mounted. The finished hammer is shown here with a Hot Cutoff - another Blacksmith tool.
